We specialize indigo fabric imported from South Africa which was originally produced in Manchester England. The Fabric is very stiff when purchased but softens into a lovely fabric with a great hand when washed.
We have hundered of patterns as we have been importing this fabric of about 12 years, and my wife really believes that stash development of job one. I think that her actual statement was that if she wants a fabric she wants to be able to walk out and get it. Her stash is in a 24 by 24 foot room with gorilla shelves so close that I have to turn sideways to get through them. I think she has met her goal.
Please note the log cabin above. I found this log cabin about 30 miles from our house, tore it down, moved it and reassambled it as a personal challange. "My" cabin was originally built betwen 1840 and 1850 and probably was a public meeting place of some sort. We believe it was a stage stop on the way to Chicago.
This cabin was old german construction, which means that the logs we morticed in post and beam style them raised as a unit.
